What initially inspired FORM Miami? What is the story behind this event?

FORM MIAMI is the sister fair of SOFA CHICAGO, the first and only fair in the United States dedicated to galleries whose programs focus on contemporary and modern applied arts; galleries representing museum-quality work in glass, ceramics, wood, fiber, and studio jewelry. As there are no other fairs in Miami Art Week with this focus on materials and the applied arts, we are excited to be the first and only art fair presenting prestigious galleries from around the world exhibiting world-renowned artists working in these mediums. Presented as a boutique art fair in the heart of Miami Art Week, directly across from Art Basel Miami Beach, FORM MIAMI promises to be a fresh fair presenting new voices in the December fair lineup.

Describe a few things that visitors and collectors should expect when visiting the fair.

FORM MIAMI is taking place at the corner of 17th Street & Washington Avenue, across from Art Basel Miami Beach and in the epicenter of Miami Art Week. Space, designed by renowned architect, Morris Lapidus, will make FORM Miami a premiere destination for the Art Basel Miami Beach collecting crowds.
